"Having not done any excercise for over 10 years I had decided join the
local gym and started to get some fitness. I found out about bootcamp from a neighbour and decided to give it
a try in the summer. It was very difficult for the first month but great fun! After 6 months my all
round fitness is fantastic. Not just endurance but strength and flexibility are far beyond where I would

My husband said my life was full of things I was going to do, I was going to diet, go to a slimming club, go to the
gym and so the list went on. So when I told him I was going to join a boot camp he didn’t expect anything to happen
and he was quite shocked when one Saturday morning in August I said I was off to bootcamp. At this point I had just
turned 40, was newly diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes, overweight and very, very unfit and I hadn’t done any exercise
for quite a few years. I was worried that everyone would be super fit and I would feel embarrassed huffing and puffing as
everyone lapped me several times, however…. I couldn’t have been more wrong; Miles made me feel very welcome
and told me that bootcamp would really help my diabetes. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly that even though the first
session was hard it made me want to come back again. I won’t deny those first few weeks were hard but doing 3
sessions every week soon started to pay off and within 4 weeks I had lost 4 inches off my waist and within 7 weeks I had lost
6 inches. My sugar levels have also improved which means I don’t have to take tablets to control my diabetes. I
am still losing inches and weight as well as improving my overall fitness. I can’t imagine my life without bootcamp
and hate when I have to miss a session. I am really grateful to Miles for pushing me as I couldn’t have had those results
